This little sequence from the Suicide Race, shows the detail of a 4×5 negative. These photos need to be printed very large and it is the reason that I shot from so far away. Hat tip to David Burnett

My second shot of the Suicide Race….I set up two 4×5 cameras, prefocused for about an hour (I kept changing my mind on composition and focus…) and then I pushed a button and used a cable release at the same time to trigger the two cameras. I drove 6 hours total yesterday to Omak, WA and back and made three decent pictures

I must be crazy!
